It was in September of 1977, that Dianne Adams and James McDowell met at the 13th Street Theatre in New York City. Dianne was there to explore the prospect of having the theatre produce a musical she had been working on. Jim was there looking for a pianist to play for a theatre piece he had brought with him from Denver. The audition pianist just happened to be sick that day, and Dianne reluctantly stepped in. The rest is history.
"Music & theatre brought us together and never let us part. Collectively, as well as individually, we've written hundreds of songs in just about every musical genre, but have never managed to 'get it all together' in one place… until now. This website is, at once, both the arrival at a long-awaited destination and the beginning of a journey. It's our hope that you'll take this journey with us."
